Halifax Student Bank Account

Last updated: 18th January, 2013

Halifax_student_bank_accountThe Halifax student account is ranked quite highly because it offers potentially one of the best overdrafts to students. If you want to check how the overdraft compares then make sure to check the full guide to student accounts in 2012.

The Halifax 0% overdraft is only “up-to” which means that you may not be guaranteed the full amount. It all depends on your previous spending patterns and your credit rating. If you want to check your credit rating to see what the banks think of you we recommend Credit Reports Matter.

When you open your account you should be guaranteed a £1,000 overdraft and the rest must be applied for.

Year 1 – £3,000

Year 2 – £3,000
